Your data, your rights

In accordance with the EU Data Act, we uphold the principles of transparency, fairness and user control in data sharing. The legislation ensures that generated data is accessible under well-defined conditions while prioritizing security and compliance.

The EU Data Act defines different types of users, each with specific rights and responsibilities regarding data access and management. Whether you are a private individual, a business, a third party, or a government authority, your role determines how you can interact with and utilize generated data.

Private user

A private user is a natural person who owns a connected vehicle, has a transferred contractual right or receives a related service for the use of the vehicle.
 

Your rights & options:

- Request your data: Obtain a copy of your historical data
- Customize data access: Select specific data points to access or share
- Authorize third-party access: Grant permission to third party services
- Manage consent: Review and modify permissions through your Brand ID portal

Business user

A business user is a company or entity that owns a connected vehicle, has a transferred contractual right or receives a related service for the use of the vehicle.
 

Your rights & options:

- Access comprehensive vehicle data: Obtain vehicle or service generated data of your vehicle(s)
- Share data securely: Facilitate controlled data exchange with partners and service providers

Third party

A third party is a company or entity, such as an insurance company, a service provider, or any other company / entity that is granted access to generated data upon user request.


Your rights & options:

- Request data access: Obtain data necessary for your product or service delivery (e.g. personalised insurance tariffs)

Government Officials and Public Authorities

Government officials include regulatory authorities and public institutions that may request access to data in cases of exceptional need.

- Request data under exceptional circumstances: Access specific data for public safety, emergencies, or regulatory purposes
- Ensure public interest & security: Utilize data responsibly for public benefit

In case you want charging or wallbox data, or vehicle data of your MAN TGE vehicle please choose one of the options below. This data can be requested without a Brand ID Account.
